Sea of Inspiration
- Duby Tal
Aerial photographs and documentary footage of the Dead Sea.
¡°Sometimes the Dead Sea seems to me like one big playground. And I like a small child searching for treasures, discover the pearls.
These pearls I spread before you – inviting you to create your own necklace.
But my enjoyment of its beauty is also tinged with apprehension, concern that it is perhaps disappearing. I fear that we humans may have interfered too much, and need to think how to help preserve it – before it is too late."
- Duby Tal
Duby Tal served as a helicopter pilot in the Israel Air Force, after which
he studied geology and photography and graduated his B.Sc. Cum Laude in Geology in The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and his photography studies in Camera Obscura in Tel Aviv. After being accepted for PhD studies in geophysics at Stanford University, California, he decided to change professions and turned to aerial photography, which combined his two passions - photography and flying.
Duby Tal has held over many solo exhibitions in fine art galleries, museums and other institutes. The exhibitions engage in wide range of nature and history related subjects such as landscapes and aerial photography exhibitions from Israel and other countries, archaeology, modern history, geology and natural phenomenon, ecology and expeditions.
His work has appeared in books, exhibitions and magazines in Israel and worldwide, and gained him an international award winning reputation.
